It's time for some CHOCOLATE....

The Easter Holidays are getting closer and what better way to celebrate it, than with some CHOCOLATE.

Besides all the fantastic wine you can find in the Margaret River Region, there is also a lot of yummy chocolate you have to try. Here are three of our favourite places to visit.

The Margaret River Chocolate Factory was the first one to open its doors in 1999. They offer a range of chocolate products and have little Cafe with great coffee and fantastic food.
Once you upon the doors and the delicious smell of chocolate hits you, you can't help but feel like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory. Your first stop should always be the free tasting pots (we all have overeaten ourselves there a couple of times). Have a wonder around the different chocolate sections and peak through the production window to see how all the goodies are produced.  You can easily spend a couple of hours here and its fun for the whole family. Best time to visit is in the afternoon when most of the lunch rush has passed.
Lisa's chocolate suggestion: Make sure to try some of their truffles - they are to die for and melt in your mouth!

2. Gabriel Chocolate

Gabriel Chocolate imports the world's best raw cacao beans and turns them into a fine quality single-origin chocolate bars. The interior of Gabriel Chocolates is very neat and inviting and there are hundreds of chocolate treats. A lovely staff member will guide you through the tasting from the raw beans to their final product, which is quiet interesting.
I am not a big fan of dark chocolate but I must admit even I couldn't get enough of their darkest chocolate. Located next to House of Cards winery on Caves Road, their chocolates are the perfect little gift to take home for your loved ones.
Lisa's chocolate suggestion: Definitely give the dark chocolate a try - it really is something different!

3. Temper Temper

Last but not least is Temper Temper Fine Chocolate just outside of Margaret River. At Temper Temper the team of Chocolatiers are very creative and you will be surprised what they can come up with. Besides their traditional chocolate bars, they offer chocolate, like lemongrass & chili or red peppercorns and lets not forget their chocolate dipped fruits which are to die for! This place is worth a visit any time of the day.
Lisa's chocolate suggestion: The figs dipped in chocolate are my favourite at this place!
