Kid-spiration
Your ‘go to’ activity guide these spring school holidays

It’s September. Yes, you read that right. I can’t believe it either.
It’s also spring – the days are just that little bit longer and lighter and after the wettest and coldest winter in 25 years, it’s absolutely wonderful to feel the warmth of the sun again.
This September we get to delight in an extra day off work compliments of the Queen which then follows on to the school holidays. I thought a useful post today, would be 7 FREE or CHEAP activities you can do with the sprogs, no more than 10 minutes from Amalfi Resort.

-First and foremost – when you holiday at Amalfi Resort, one doesn’t really need to go anywhere at all! Take it easy and enjoy a fuss free holiday making the most of our resort facilities. Each villa is equipped with unlimited free access to Wi-Fi and our platinum Foxtel package.  The resort boasts a full sized day/night tennis court, outdoor heated pool & spa and baby wader. We also have an extensive selection of bikes for hire and free board games available at the office!

 - Blue waters and white sand. The pristine shores of Geographe Bay are only 70 metres from the resort. Take some scoop nets (we offer these free of charge), pack a picnic and spend your day by the seaside. Forgot the kids bucket and spade? Don’t worry; we have them in our kiosk inside reception!

Enjoy a leisurely bike ride to Busselton or Dunsborough along our coastal bike path.

We have a full range of bikes to hire from the office for only $10 per 24 hour period (all bikes come with a lock and helmet).  Come and see us in the office and we can provide you with a comprehensive biking & walking guide.

- Check out the Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory.
You can sit back and relax while the Busselton Jetty Train takes you on a 1.7 kilometre journey across the calm, clear waters of Geographe Bay, or you can take the refreshing stroll - the option is yours! When you get to the end, be sure to discover the depths of Geographe Bay! You can descend 8 metres below the water's surface to view some of the 300 different marine species sighted from the Underwater Observatory's windows. The holidays are always super busy, so visit us in the office and we can book you into your preferred tour.

Geo-caching;  The thing you did before Pokemon!

Download the app and follow the directions to find your hidden geocaches. They could be hidden anywhere from in a tree, to under the jetty and they can be super tiny, or super large.  A great family activity and it’s totally free – head to the website to create your free account and learn how to geocache! https://www.geocaching.com/play

- Experience state-of-the-art technology at the movies like you've never seen it before.
Head to Busseltons own 12D cinema.
The special effects featured in the exciting motion ride experience, allow the audience to be part of the action from the comfort of a theatre. With special effects, a giant screen, digital surround sound, seats that move in multiple directions and specially designed active shutter three-dimensional glasses, the audience feels every bump, dip and turn. Tickets are only $15, with multi-buy and family passes available.
